Encho joined Footprint Architects after graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2012. He worked on a variety of large scale educational projects as part of his year out in practice at Footprint Architects, during which he gained valuable experience across all stages of the design process. Encho then went on to complete his Part 2 education in Milan, Italy and since June 2016 has returned to the Footprint team.
During his studies Encho has received several design awards including the Martin Harvey prize for best undergraduate final architectural project, which then has been nominated by the university and took part in the 2012 RIBA President Medal Awards. Encho’s postgraduate Master thesis has received the prize for the best final thesis project at The Polytechnic University of Milan in December 2015.
Throughout all aspects of his work Encho strives towards architecture, which naturally springs out of its physical, social and cultural context. In his view, sensitive, honest, yet bold architecture has significant power to positively influence the human realm.
Away from work Encho loves spending his time out in nature, cycling, travelling around world and in addition – exploring the art of architectural visualisation.
Encho has completed his Part 3 professional practice studies while working at Footprint Architects and successfully qualified as an architect in November 2017.
