With considerable first-hand experience of building award-winning houses, Mike leads the development of residential design in the office. He joined Footprint Architects in July 2014 after working for several years in a design led practice based in Winchester that specialised in high end residential architecture. He previously worked for practices in Liverpool and Brisbane undertaking large scale education projects.

His design ideals lie with developing an architectural language around client requirements and site context, underlined with the principles of proportion and the careful selection and detailing of materials. Mike qualified from the University of Liverpool with a BA(Hons), BArch and the Sheppard Robson Award for Sustainability In Design.

He concluded his professional qualification at the University of Portsmouth He is a keen footballer and has recently taken up kiteboarding as a summer addition to his love of snowboarding. Mike loves to travel and is slowly making his way around the world.
