Our role as TA’s provides key advice that supports these construction projects enabling them to develop efficiently, achieve best value and high quality. At the outset of a project we lead and facilitate:
Our appointment for the Orion commenced at RIBA stage 1 and the strategic feasibility assessment and study of the site. This included the development of a 4 form entry control option on the identified site in Barnet.
Working closely with the Local Authority, the Employer’s Agent (EA) and the school, we developed a Building Bulletin 99 accommodation schedule and assisted the outline brief development. This considered the site constraints including highways and planning considerations as well as the aspirations of the school to form a specialist sports/theatre within the community.
Acting in a technical support role with the EA we attended engagement meetings between the contractor’s design team and the school, assessed the contractors proposal and completed site inspections and compliance checks throughout the construction works.
Following this commission we completed a similar role at Mill Hill East Primary School which was a new 3 form entry primary school on a new site required and created by a new housing development.
