Bobby & Co
Set in the heart of Bournemouth comes a revival of the retail sector in the form of Bobby's, occupying the former Debenhams building in Bournemouth Square.
Footprint Architect have been part of the team responsible with transforming & restoring this landmark building to offer an experience-led, destination shopping experience within a nostalgic aesthetic.
Bobby & Co opened in Bournemouth Square in 1915, but became a Debenhams in 1972.
The newly-launched store incorporates original architectural features unearthed during the works including copper domes on the roof, balconies and flagpoles.
Currently being opened in phases, visitors can now enjoy a beauty hall, sushi bar, ice cream parlour and unique food hall for dogs alongside the largest modern art gallery outside of London.
Further works encompass a smokehouse, rooftop terraces, a restaurant, bars, tea rooms, offices, market stalls and a dedicated event space.
