Footprint Architects has recently completed the refurbishment and new interior fit-out of the learning resource centre at Bournemouth and Poole College.

The concept for the design is the zoning of the different curriculum areas within the library. These clusters are represented using different materials, colours and textures. The scheme raises the ceiling incorporating a double height area wrapped in american white oak and four coloured perimeter seating pods.

The scheme also includes the provision of new project rooms, an IT suite and a further specialist library area. The refurbishment works include A new frameless glass entrance screen, new furniture, zoned floor finishes, and a new lighting scheme.
