Footprint Architects designed for a barn conversion in Yapton offers clear and strong relationship to its rural setting. The design integrates the original building with new elements. This included retaining the existing flint walls and exposing the timber structure, whilst adding black timber cladding, a contemporary addition referenced from the surrounding agricultural context.
‘Footprints Architects designed and prepared a tender package for a barn conversion near the South Downs. They have delivered a comprehensive and considered package of information in a short time scale, to achieve our deadline and programme whilst assisting with a prior approval notice with the planning department. They have been a great team to work with and we look forward to working with them again when the next opportunity arises.’ – Paul Hanson, Property Director, Landlink Estates
