The Tank Museum

Bespoke office design and brand alignment

Workplace

Bovington, Wareham

Footprint Architects were commissioned to design a new office for the tank museum at Bovington. The proposal improved the staff office facilities within the museum, by replacing the existing mezzanine, which has reached the end of its usable life and was no longer fit for purpose. The refurbishment of the office area includes the replacement of the existing mezzanine, which provides new meeting rooms, WCs and staff kitchen facilities, new mechanical and electrical installations, and full redecoration.
The proposal aimed to improve staff comfort and wellbeing through the installation of additional windows and rooflights to improve natural day lighting, as well as Windcatcher’s to provide natural ventilation.
